Q: Can you guarantee 100% stain removal?

 

While we strive for the best results, we cannot guarantee 100% stain removal. In most cases, our advanced techniques and specialized products achieve positive outcomes. However, certain stains may not be fully removable, particularly if they've been in the fabric for an extended period or if prior attempts with non-professional products have altered the fabric or sealed in the stain.

 

Q: Is there a risk of my carpets shrinking during cleaning?

 

Carpets typically shrink when exposed to excessive heat or too much cleaning solution. At Imperial Clean, we use a low-moisture system that eliminates the risk of shrinkage entirely.

 

Q: Why are the edges of my carpet turning black?

 

Black marks or soiling around the edges of your carpet, known as filtration soiling, occur due to air pockets beneath the carpet pushing fine dirt and soot outward. These particles hit the skirting boards and rise, embedding deep into the carpet. While vacuuming alone may not remove this soiling, our deep cleaning process can significantly reduce or eliminate these marks.

 

Q: How long will it take for my sofa to dry?

 

Drying times for sofas depend on the fabric, as some are more absorbent than others. Most fabrics will be dry within 8-10 hours, though certain cotton upholsteries may take up to 24 hours to completely dry. Heavily soiled fabrics may also require a longer drying time due to the need for a deeper clean.

 

Q: How often should I have my carpets and upholstery cleaned?

 

We recommend regular professional cleaning to extend the lifespan of your carpets, sofas, and curtains. As a general rule, cleaning every 12 months is advisable. However, if you have children, pets, or high foot traffic, more frequent cleaning every six months may be beneficial.

 

Q: My pet has soiled the carpet. Can you help?

 

Yes, we can assist. We use an anti-microbial solution that effectively treats the stain, neutralizes the odor, and removes any bacterial deposits left behind. Our urine cleaning process is usually highly effective in eliminating both the stain and the odor.

 

Q: Should I move furniture before your visit?

 

We ask that you move small, delicate items prior to our visit. For larger furniture, we can typically handle the moving ourselves during the cleaning process unless the items are exceptionally heavy.
